HEART POUR

Heart Pour “No matter how much love is there, if its from one source; it’ll eventually stop flowing”. Those were the words that kept resounding in my head. Somehow, they don’t seem true though: because my fountain is still full. Everyone advised me to get over you, but they are not here right now to hold me through the pain. Why does it hurt so bad? Broken hearts should be able to find their way home, shouldn’t they? Where is home? Definitely not in the place that couldn’t protect them in the first place. I wonder which hurts worse… Being lied to or the deafening silence. Broken heart? How do I blame you for this when you made me no promises whatsoever? Lemme tell you a secret… I believed you then and that was my downfall. Could I have done anything to make it better? Sigh The tears won’t stop. Foolish, huh? I know. I won’t fight it anymore, I’d just wait for it to pass. I do hope you don’t come back though, because then its you I’d fight. Another lie? Perhaps. You are that one who could always make me act the fool. Don’t think the penance you paid was adequate. It was heart-borne magnanimity that cleansed you. I’ve been hurting myself, trying to do this on my own. Now I’ve learned to ask you for an antidote to whatever it is you did. Unstand at the door when I opened it. Undo the smiles and act the part I never saw.

Unemployment in Nigeria

Despite the Nigerian economy is growing, the problem of the unemployment is still actual for this country. The statistics shows that practically 24 percent of youth is not able to find a job in comparison with the European countries, where the rate of unemployment is almost 2 times lower. Figures are impressive – more than 42 million people are unemployed. Nigeria's population is constantly increasing and the government is less able to create new vacancies. In a recent interview the President of Nigeria Goodluck Jonathan announced that he and his team are doing everything possible to reduce the percentage of unemployed persons and increase the motivation to find a job. The President said that the country is preparing to launch new enterprise that could provide with job young university graduates. What are the causes of problem of unemployment? Is it solvable? Still there is no effective plan for how to revive the labor market. The first and the main reason is mismanagement in Nigeria. Corruption aggravates the situation and civil wars ultimately weakened the country's economy. Nigeria is full with natural and mineral resources, but none of these advantages was used for the improvement of situation. Low economic growth has caused worse production and reduction of the purchasing power of people. Unemployment of the Nigerian’s population increased the consumption level, especially between youth and pupils of secondary schools (35-50 %). Demonstrations and protests have become commonplace in the country. One of the best ways of solution this problem is effective and right usage of agriculture. Land reform and training of specialists may cause a great number of workplaces for Nigerians. Such actions let them maintain better standard of living and a lot of citizens will be able to buy lands for their activity. In other cases there is a big risk of transformation of rural industry in unnecessary and non-profit sector of the economy. Other industries of economy are not well developed and do not use the maximum of its potential. Such branches as coal, palm oil, textiles, food products, footwear, chemicals and ceramics may bring foreign exchange earnings for the country. Restructuring of GDP may partially solve the problem. Oil sector provides approximately 90% of state revenue, but non-petroleum industries are practically not invested. Such dependence from oil leads to the alienation and disillusionment of many Nigerians. As the climate of Nigeria makes unfavorable conditions to grow crops on the arable lands, the government should seriously reflect on the variant of reducing rural residents, where the highest level of unemployment and poverty exists. Special training and programs should be provided to decrease the rate of poverty and unemployment. There is no financial incentive for the Nigerians to get new skills and knowledge and that’s why there are no human resources to be involved for the development of the economy of the country.

Brymo Hit At Chocolate City

In a recent interview, former member of the Chocolate City crew opened up about his reasons for leaving the label and what his plans are. Excerpts. On why he left the label. My debut album was not released properly. Songs were leaked even after they promised that they were safe. And then there was my single, which was poorly released. I think I deserve an explanation why the release was messed up. That already is a breach. You took my song, edited it and released it behind my back; very unfair. It’s something I don’t want to talk about but there’s news everywhere that I am smoking weed and people are saying I don’t get shows because of that. On weed-smoking. Yes, but for God’s sake, I have not done anything to mess up the contract. What else do you think anybody would say just to make me look bad? It’s like giving a dog a bad name so you can hang it. They needed to come up with something. Like I said before, a lot of artistes are doing songs about weed and I have not even done a song on weed before. On how Choc Boys affected his project. We were supposed to record a Choc Boy album in 2012, which I could not agree to because I had my own album in the works. But it’s even worse than that because nobody ever called me up. Whenever they had Choc Boy meetings I was never there. I heard stuff from my other mates on the record label and I am like ‘when did you have that meeting?’ So, it’s easy now for them to come out and say I am still a Choc Boy. However, I was never treated like one! On his new plans. Chocolate City says I can’t go anywhere but they will have to sue me to enforce that and we will meet in court. On who his new management will be. This is music business. By the time you shop for a few weeks, you’ll find a manager and a publicist. The songs always come first so if I don’t have an album in the works, what do I need a manager and publicist for. On his current relationship with Choc City crew. We have a very cordial relationship, funny enough. We talk on phone and we even exchange visits. When I got my new car four months ago, I drove to MI’s place and said ‘come take a look at my car.’ When we meet at events we still talk. On his personal relationship. Yes, I am in a relationship. But no plans for marriage right now. I met the lady in my life at a birthday party. What struck me about her was that she was tall and beautiful. The attraction was her height. Who no go like fine girl? I like the way she carries herself and the way she treats me. On marriage plans. (Laughs) I am 27-years-old so I am still thinking of roaming around a little bit more before settling down.

OJB Jezreel gave an interview to Encomium magazine yesterday Monday June 24th where he said he has about eight weeks left to get his operation done. Excerpts... "When early diagnosis was done, it was just a case of renal failure. Right now, my two kidneys are gone. We are running dialysis at the moment. It started two years ago, but gradually depreciated. Most people tend to attribute kidney problem to drinking and smoking. I was told it doesn't have anything to do with that, because as much as I drink and smoke then, it was casual drinking. Maybe they offer you a bottle of drink and all that but not like I drink 15 bottles a day. I have a friend who has gone through this and he never drank or smoked. "The whole process of the treatment from pre-process, transplanting process and post-transplanting will cost about $100, 000. In two years I have spent up to N5million which I have been trying to maintain myself. That is why it has been kept secret." "God willing, I have like eight to ten weeks more to get the transplant done. It's strange, I still walk around a little. I can't eat much though. I trust God and Nigerians for their financial support"
